SJSIP is best positioned, across a broad range of industry sectors, to align STEM-skill preparedness and retraining with the ever-changing, workforce demands of the future.

The South Jersey STEM & Innovation Partnership (SJSIP) is one of 94 STEM Learning Ecosystems in the globe and is one of six communities in New Jersey to participate in a statewide campaign to reimagine STEM learning and prepare New Jersey’s future workforce for STEM fields.

SJSIP seeks to convene its large network of partners to improve STEM program delivery in public education while committing to an innovative approach developed by Stanford University’s “Collective Impact” model.  Focusing on community engagement, the Center will initially serve 85,000 families across Camden, Salem and Cumberland counties, with potential expansion into Gloucester, Atlantic, Burlington, Ocean and Cape May counties.

South Jersey was one of six communities selected by the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network (https://njstempathways.org/) to participate in a statewide campaign to reimagine STEM learning and prepare New Jersey’s future workforce for STEM fields. This initiative was modeled after The STEM Funders Network STEM Learning Ecosystems Initiative, which is designed to promote the cultivation of STEM Learning Ecosystems in communities throughout the country.
